Archbishop Lefebvre never preached that the Divine Magisterium should be discarded in totality, but only those modernist heresies masquerading as the Divine Magisterium. No pope, cardinal, bishop, or priest has the authority to forbid the faithful from following the guidance of The Virgin. The rosary was given to us by Jesus Christ’s mother. The example I give when speaking is, can any pope forbid the faithful from saying the rosary? He cannot. Some believe the current Pope can overturn the dogmatic teachings of the past.
Some feel he can teach anything he wants.
Some believe the Pope can do anything he wants. Perhaps the essential point is that “Pope” Francis’ motu proprio Traditionis Custodes has initiated a schism. The motu proprio Traditionis Custodes is everything that was feared by the faithful who choose to attend the TLM or Vetus Ordo Mass led by the SSPX priests. They have also made it impossible for the Fraternitas Sacerdotalis Sancti Pii X (SSPX) to come into “full communion” with the Vatican. What both of them seem to have missed is that “Pope” Francis and his Novus Ordo extremists have just initiated what can only be called a schism in the Holy Roman Catholic Church. I will reprint some of what she said as it should be shared with every Catholic those who prefer the Novus Ordo, or those who prefer the Vetus Ordo. He also clearly says he desires to end the Vetus Ordo forever.Īnn Barnhardt makes the excellent point that no pope has the authority to forbid the Vetus Ordo. In his motu proprio Traditionis Custodes “Pope” Francis attempts to suppress celebrating the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) in what Father Zuhlsdorf correctly shows is a very badly written motu proprio. Anyway for this posting, we will call him “pope” because he wears white and sits in the Vatican. The Cardinals are supposed to at least teach the truth, begging for martyrdom as the apostles before them, but even the few who seem to know the truth refuse to risk their careers. I also accept that as a lay person I do not have the authority to officially define the pope as a heretic. Whom you know as “Saint Nickolas”, a fat north-European-looking cartoon character, was actually a (modern-day) Turkish Catholic Cardinal who punched a heretical pope in the mouth. We have had heretical popes and anti-popes in the past. He seems to me to be a heretic, someone who spreads or allows anti-Christian teachings. Some like Ann Barnhardt, call Pope Francis an “anti-pope” or false Pope. Two of my favorite blogs are Father John Zuhlsdorf and Ann Barnhardt both excellent Catholic thinkers who got a lot right, but I believe they missed several key points, which I will try to address. When this happened, I immediately went to various Catholic blogs to understand what it all meant. “Pope” Francis’ motu proprio was titled Traditionis Custodes Latin for Guardians of Tradition. Motu proprio is Latin for “on one’s own initiative.” I.e., a letter where the Pope wants to change the current law of the Catholic Church. “Pope” Francis published a motu proprio on 16JUL2021.
